Christmas Opening and Parade of Lights! |
|
|
The Worland Area Chamber of Commerce,
Christmas Committee would like to invite you to enter the "2002 Christmas
Parade of Lights" on Friday, November 29, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. The theme
is "A Cowboy Christmas" with lots of Christmas lights and music. The
committee challenges all businesses, individuals, organizations and churches
to enter the parade. The Chamber will be awarding a traveling trophy
to the overall best entry.
The plans include a fireworks display, chili feed,
visiting with Santa Claus, Parade of Lights, Lighting of Pioneer Square,
Stroll and hay rides. The
committee invites businesses, organizations and churches to sell beverages
and dessert items for the evening. And, to add to the evening
festivities, the committee will have groups of carolers. |

Downtown Worland
was adorned with Christmas decorations, the streets sparkled
with twinkling lights and the 2001 Christmas Stroll and Family
Fun Fest was another success. Revelers were treated to
hayrides, food, Santa, caroling, fun and games, and plenty of
community camaraderie. |

Mike Yauck, Worland Area Chamber of Commerce, manager, said the
stroll has been a town tradition "since Santa was a
baby". Sam Hampton and Terrill Gibbons hitched up their
beautifully matched horses to give hay rides up and down Big Horn
Avenue, and Santa was along for many of the rides. |
