Rides from Renegade Rides in Ten Sleep
|
|
| Belinda Daugherty,
owner and head wrangler at Renegade Rides has been in the business for over 22 years, and
is now enjoying the opportunity (along with co-owner Bernie Weiss) to create programs that
offer exciting riding on sure-footed, well-trained horses. Each of the 5 point to
point rides afford plenty of opportunity for very spirited, but safe, riding for those who
are willing and able. The early and late season cattle drives as well as the July
1-4 wagon train ride to Ten Sleep Rodeo are family oriented and are designed to
accommodate riding groups with a mix of skills and experience. |

|
 | CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS ~
Children over 8 are welcome on the slower paced wagon train ride and cattle drives with
family members. On the harder rides they must be over 13, accompanied by an adult,
and demonstrate good riding skills. |
|
 | RIDING STUFF ~
Renegade Rides offers the opportunity to enjoy vigorous, hard riding, improve your
horsemanship, and experience the real Wild West. The horses are well-trained and
carefully matched to each rider's ability. While many of the rides moves at a fairly
fast pace, the safety of both horse and rider is a paramount consideration. Most
rides are tailored to the intermediate horseperson, meaning that you should be comfortable
riding at a trot, posting, and galloping in the forward seat over uneven terrain.
Participants must be fit and able to spend from 5 to 8 hours in the saddle each day.
Experienced wranglers determine the pace based on the skill levels of the riders in each
group. The cattle drives and Ten Sleep Wagon Train welcome beginners and children as
well as more experienced riders.
